Jan 6, 2010, A New Day for Ulster County

As in our 1st edition News Letter of November 1st, 2009, It is the goal of this blog to unite Independents, Conservatives & Republicans to put forth a fiscally conservative agenda for the taxpayers of Ulster County!
Credible and qualified politicians and candidates will be scrutinized based on their effectiveness in returning the best value for our hard earned tax dollars as well as their ability to return Ulster County to Prosperity by increasing business investment and expanding job growth.
It is our intention to hold our representatives accountable to the people who have placed in them their trust.
To those voters unable to separate social issues from fiscal responsibility we strongly urge you relegate your differences to the National Stage and Clerical Arena. As local government expends more and more on education, healthcare, security and transportation the need for responsible leadership is even more crucial.
After a year of Tea Parties & Town Halls the Progressive left has succeeded in dividing it's opposition by focusing on our social differences at the expense of fiscal responsibility. As a result, local government is indirectly a casualty of a fiscally liberal agenda, our schools, our hospitals, our police and fire departments and our roadways are eating up more and more of the residential tax base. State and Federal taxes once responsible for supporting these services are no longer available and cutbacks have forced difficult decisions at the County level.

Defending Ulster County residents against self-serving officials will be the focus of this blog and our quarterly publication. if you wish to become a recipient of our newletter please email ucsentinel@aol.com or continue to read this blog and join in the conversation regarding your County Government.
